200㎡ French-style residential building in Nanjing

// Living room: circular circulation, combining interactivity and mystery

The public area has been designed with a circular circulation route to facilitate the activities of the family’s dog. When guests are present, the door can be closed, creating an independent and private space. When guests are not present, the doors are open, allowing the spaces to be interconnected yet exist independently, providing both interaction and a sense of mystery.
The long hallway in the original layout was not utilized reasonably, resulting in a significant waste of space. The designer divided it into various public spaces such as the entrance hall, living room, cloakroom, dining room, and bathroom, enhancing the comfort of each individual space.

For the entrance, a Chinese-style partition with a strong sense of transparency was chosen, and its detailed texture echoes the French retro style.

The ceiling of the balcony has been redone to align with the beams in the living room, seamlessly integrating them. The waistline in the public area connects the living room, balcony, dining room, and kitchen into a unified whole. On the balcony, a uniquely designed duplex staircase has been incorporated, facilitating the placement of vases and artworks by the homeowner, enhancing the ambiance of life and adding a touch of layered beauty.
The homeowner hoped to have a separate cloakroom, with separate areas for resting and makeup. After comprehensive consideration, the designer made a revolutionary change: all the walls were removed, the sofa was placed in the balcony area, and a retractable projector was arranged in the middle vertically. The balcony was integrated into the living room, extending the spatial scale of the entire living room, giving the 188㎡ space a visual impression of 300㎡.
The irregularly shaped carpet is both high-end and artistic, and the sofa comes from Ligne Roset.

// Deputy Director: Playing the Melody of Slow Life

The homeowner, who loves music, often plays the piano and ukulele in his spare time. The designer has added a secondary hall in the public area.
The dado is raised, painted in Tiffany blue, with storage above and concealed cabinets below. Here, there is a never-ending melody, with every note carefully crafted by the homeowner, reflecting a life deeply felt with the heart. Savoring the warmth of human life, leisurely observing the passage of time.

// Study room: “Both internally and externally refined”

French-style double doors, with a bookcase facing outwards and partial storage function facing inwards.

// Bathroom: Separation of wet and dry areas, “throwing a brick to attract light”

The bathroom with separate wet and dry areas features a standalone washbasin and mirror. The glass mosaic tiles allow natural light from the outside to flood the space, making it appear brighter.
