We utilize the perfect fusion of cement, wood, and light to create an energetic space within minimalism. The dominant gray and white hues, when combined with light and warm wooden tones, not only exhibit a distinct personality but also convey a sense of comfort and livability.
The living room space pursues minimalism, yet it is not devoid of rich visual layers. We incorporate cement elements into the space and balance them with warm and rustic natural wood materials, allowing the warmth of wood and the coolness of cement to penetrate and balance each other, subtly enhancing the overall warmth of the space. The TV background and hallway areas are left largely blank, allowing for the continuation of the line of sight and leaving room for imagination.
The spatial hard decoration features concise lines, with the ceiling crafted from micro-cement and the sofa background wall fashioned from as-cast concrete slabs, establishing the overall basic tone of the space. The variations in texture and grain, under the influence of light and shadow, exude a low-key simplicity without appearing monotonous. When paired with the gentle warm-colored floor lamps by Isamu Noguchi, the space radiates a warm and rustic charm.
The balcony is integrated into the living room, enhancing the spatial visual flow. The concealed storage cabinets strike a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. A Cassina sofa, positioned on one side, introduces a pop of vibrant red, infusing the space with a lively residential ambiance. As sunlight filters through the Roman shades, reclining on the sofa brings a sense of tranquility to the heart.
The open-concept design of the dining room and living room further expands the spatial expanse from a visual perspective with its extensive use of white, while reducing distractions and impurities during interactions. The integration of western cuisine and a wet bar into the dining room functionality brings diversity to daily life. The natural ambiance of wood and stone slabs intertwines, creating a simple and comfortable space that fosters relaxation.
The master bedroom, accessed through a hallway, fosters a sense of ideal belonging. The elegant natural wood tones make the space purer and more serene, allowing residents to relax both physically and mentally. Stepping barefoot on the warm wooden floor, one can feel the warmth of home.
